If you are a newcomer then before bidding see the client has a 4 or more stars Rating. Check the hire rate of clients. If they have a hire rate lower than 70% then skip that client. If a client has a zero hire rate zero review then see if the client has verified the payment method or not. If the payment method is verified then bid on that project. In this way, it’s easy for you to get your first job on Upwork.
